The Ballydoyle team look well worth opposing in the 7.30 & 8.30 at Dundalk
"This looks a tricky handicap at first glance but a closer inspection reveals chinks in the armour of all the main protagonists on form, with the exception of Maybe Grace"
Timeform's team of Irish experts give you three recommendations for racing in Ireland on Friday...
Queen of Troy - 7.30 Dundalk - lay
Queen of Troy hails from a talented family and did quite well as a two-year-old, winning a maiden over five furlongs at Dundalk and showing her stamina for further when fourth in the seven-furlong Weld Stakes later in the year. She faces a more realistic task than when used as a pacemaker on her reappearance too, but she's a fair bit more exposed than her main rivals in this contest and has already given hints that she may not be straightforward, these negatives enough to make her opposable at the likely prices.
Maybe Grace - 8.00 - back
This looks a tricky handicap at first glance but a closer inspection reveals chinks in the armour of all the main protagonists on form, with the exception of Maybe Grace. She's admirably consistent on polytrack, is partnered by Fran Berry, who has been on board for both previous wins, and is tactically versatile, whilst she starts the campaign on a reasonable mark. Throw into the mix the fact that she won on her reappearance last season and you have a sound bet.
Greatwallofchina - 8.30 - place lay
Greatwallofchina has done enough to suggest that he's capable of going close in races off this sort of mark when everything falls right, notably when fourth on his final start in 2009. However, he's also far from straightforward, one who is well capable of throwing in a shocker, and returns in what looks a strong race for the grade.
