Dundalk 7:25 - Win Back - Knights Templar

Miss Velocity is arguably the one to beat in this handicap but she isn't sure to stay this trip so slight preference is for Knights Templar. Ger Lyons's gelding stepped up on what he had shown on turf to beat Miss Velocity in a maiden here back in November and he looks the type to do better again this year. He made all that day and may be able to do so again in what could well turn into a tactical affair.

Dundalk 7:55 - Win Lay - Ice Empress

Ice Empress is likely to be sent off favourite for this fillies maiden but she isn't the easiest to weigh up after managing just fair form on both of her starts to date and doesn't appeal as one to get stuck into at a short price. She never really threatened in the 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown on her reappearance, admittedly against much stronger opposition than what she will face here, and is bred to need a bit further than this in time. She has yet to race on polytrack and the likes of Dainty, Alamanda and Anna Montana wouldn't need to step up much on their previous form to go close in a race such as this.

Dundalk 8:55 - Place Lay - Sky Mystic

Sky Mystic took advantage of a career-low mark to get the better of Accompanist (3 lb better off now) here earlier in the month but as she had the run of things that day, she's no banker to confirm that form. She had plenty of chances off this sort of mark last year and may struggle to even get placed now in what looks a competitive heat. She is quite a headstrong sort and isn't going to get things her own way up front as plenty of these like to be up with the pace.
