It's apparently 'Summer Loving' evening at Haydock tonight, but success in the Placepot there would be more than enough for Dan Barber.

6.10 - Hazellrigg and inexperienced rider sound like a marriage made anywhere but in heaven, and recent winners Lucky Dan and Poppy's Rose are very much in the sort of form to see them take advantage of any flaws in the ungenuine Easterby runner.

6.45 - Lexi's Hero has plenty of speed, more than enough to see him win a maiden of this standard, so it isn't worth wasting lines anywhere else trying to be smart.

7.20 - Madany is likely to be all the rage in this, but he hasn't looked completely straightforward at times and there's mileage in opposing him; On The High Tops has been pitched in against better company than this so far, while the solid nursery form boasted by Reginald Claude makes his an even more persuasive case.

7.50 - This looks the make-or-break race with question marks over plenty, so to avoid a
fourth-leg exit it's best to include unexposed Mighty Mambo as well as Pena Dorada and Straversjoy, both of whom performed with credit behind handicap blot Motrice here recently.

8.20 - Eltheeb immediately catches the eye as an improving three-year-old, pretty much picking himself amongst this lot, though year-older Star Addition could hardly be in better heart currently and is proven at the track to boot.

8.55 - It hasn't taken Only A Splash long to hit the ground running this year for his red-hot yard and a repeat of his Ayr win should see him close up, while Tanforan can boast two wins in an excellent record at this course and is easily forgiven a blip on his latest start when missing the break.
