A back and a lay at Wolverhampton from the FTM boys today
"Newcomer Yourlookinathim has been supported from all the way down to [6.8] in the bumper at 16:45."
Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Wolverhampton and Ayr...
We start at Wolverhampton where Zomerlust has drifted markedly from an early [3.0] out to [5.0] in Seller at 15:25. The ten-year-old made a late start to his all-weather career when second over course and distance back in October and returns to face a couple of well-supported rivals today. With his record fresh not very inspiring and trainer John Quinn without a recent winner a first victory on the polytrack looks unlikely.
We stay in the Midlands for our next piece of advice where Spinning Ridge looks a solid favourite in the claimer at 16:30, having been backed from [2.48] in to [2.02]. A winner over course and distance on his last run ten days ago, the Ron Harris runner has performed consistently of late in races that have worked out well and sets the standard here. The market suggests he can follow up.
We head to Ayr for our final selection where newcomer Yourlookinathim has been supported from [12.0] all the way down to [6.8] in the bumper at 16:45. Although a fair amount has to be taken on trust on debut the Jim Goldie yard has had its share of bumper winners in recent seasons and the market appears to be siding with the six-year-old against some other interesting types here.
