Will our Lingfield selection round out a successful afternoon?

"Silent Cliche is yet to taste success under rules and you can’t help but wonder if he’s developing a losing habit."

Today's selections come from the cards at Uttoxeter, Warwick and Lingfield and we'll know our fate early on - the races are the 13:10, 13:20 and, yes, the 13:30.

We start at Uttoxeter, where in the 13:10 race there has been a worrying drift for backers of the Howard Johnson runner Silent Cliche whose price has gone from [2.88] out to [3.9]. He's been a consistent performer so far and chased home what looked a decent horse on his chase debut last time out. However, he is yet to taste success under rules and you can't help but wonder if he's developing a losing habit. With his two main market rivals being backed this morning it looks like punters are banking on him continuing the losing habit today.

We move to Warwick for our first back bet where, in the 13:20 race, Richmond has seen some heavy support coming into [3.2] after [6.0] was available earlier this morning. A debut winner of a French bumper on testing ground last year, he has clearly shown promise on his three hurdle starts this season. Today's handicap debut looks a more suitable test and provided he settles during the run he should be capable of justifying the early support.

Finally we head to Lingfield where in the 13:30 King's Colour has come in for some solid support moving from [8.0] into [5.4]. He won off a 2lb higher mark on turf back in July but has seemed to find his handicap mark a bit too steep since then. The distance looked beyond him last start but with a return to 7 furlongs - over which he has won at this track - and the handicapper giving him a more suitable weight, it looks like punters think he's capable of another victory today.

Recommended Bets:
Lay Silent Cliche @ [3.9] Uttoxeter 13:10
Back Richmond @ [3.2] Warwick 13:20
Back King's Colour @ [5.4] Lingfield 13:30
