Will Southwell suit All Right Now?
"All Right Now's form on the fibresand makes for considerably better reading 2212. The return to this surface combined with him being 1lb lower than his previous winning mark makes this course and distance winner a tempting back."
Today's movers come from the meetings at Southwell and Kempton.
We start at Southwell for the 14:10 Auction Maiden Stakes, Silver Blaze has been a steady drifter from [1.95] out to [2.46]. Alan Swinbank's runner is having his fourth start and his first run on the surface. Although he is a leading contender on form, this three-year-old gelding will have a fight seeing off the current favourite in the market, Gunner Will, who stayed on at the end of his last race and has received confident market support.
Our first positive of the day is also at Southwell in the 16:10 7f Handicap. All Right Now has received strong market support in to [4.8] from a high of [7.2]. This 5yo gelding is looking for his second career win on his 23rd start. Although his current form on the polytrack is patchy, his form on the fibresand makes for considerably better reading 2212. The return to this surface combined with him being 1lb lower than his previous winning mark makes this course and distance winner a tempting back.
We move to Kempton for the day's other back bet. In the 16.50 Caulfields Venture has seen support at big odds from [19.0] in to [10.5]. Andy Turnell's charge is returning from a 100 day break after being a beaten favourite at Hereford in soft ground back in January. The 6yo gelding is having only his sixth start and could have more to come with the good ground to help.
