"Despite both trainer and jockey's success rate at today’s track, Tiger Otoole is unproven over the bigger obstacles which may explain the lack of market confidence."

Today's Follow The Money movers come from the meetings at Brighton, Carlisle and Ludlow...

At Brighton in the 14:30 1 mile 2 furlong Handicap, True To Form has seen significant support, moving from [5.4] in to [2.98]. George Baker's four-year-old son of Rock Of Gibraltar has recorded several victories on all-weather surfaces, the most recent being five days ago at Wolverhampton. There maybe doubts about his turf ability but today's jockey and trainer combination have a 50% strike rate at the Sussex track which may prove to be significant. The market support appears to concur.

Today's negative runs in the 14:40 at Ludlow, a 2 mile Beginners Chase. Tiger Otoole has been easy to back, moving out from [2.16] to a current [2.75]. Evan William's six-year-old gelding has his first run for 218 days today with only one previous unsuccessful start over fences. Having recorded a win over hurdles in Grade 2 company at Ascot, he only had one outing since then which proved disappointing. Despite both trainer and jockey's success rate at today's track, he's unproven over the bigger obstacles which may explain the lack of market confidence.

Finally to Carlisle for the 15:55 3 mile Handicap Chase where Vamizi's available price has been shortened from a high of [9.0] into [4.8]. Lucinda Russell's eight-year-old gelding has not won since March 2010 but has been placed in the four races he completed since then, most notably in the Devon National at Exeter. Having changed yards this is his first run for his new trainer who has a decent strike rate at today's track. With the added factor that he appears to impress on his seasonal debut the market suggests that this could be his chance to return to the winning enclosure.
