"Trainer Peter Bowen has a good record at Aintree and reports Lamboro Lad in good form at home following a long absence. He’s been backed from [30.0] in to [18.0]."

Today's Follow The Money selections come from Aintree and Wincanton.

Bears Affair is the best backed horse this morning, moving from [4.3] in to [2.94], however the 14:35 at Aintree is a hot contest and there will be little scope for the price shortening further so we're going to pass and suggest two to back in the 15:10 instead.

This is a wide open betting race with little money matched below [7.0] but the interest in Lamboro Lad points to a good run from 6lbs out of the handicap. Trainer Peter Bowen has a good record at Aintree and reports him in good form at home following a long absence. He's been backed from [30.0] in to [18.0].

Another horse that is out of the weights has also seen significant support: Rival D'Estruval now heads the market at [7.0] having opened at [11.0]. Both our selections are making their handicap debuts, and the market clearly prefers these two against some of the more experienced rivals.

Finding a short price lay is so easy task today but My Brother Sylvest is one that has been taken on at a price of [2.8] in the 16.00 Wincanton, having been matched a little shorter. He was roughly the same price five days ago when given an uncontested lead in a three runner contest, carrying 10-13. Today he's on 12-4 and faces ten opponents, so there could be value in opposing this one although the morning has seen decent two way trading.
