Will you get behind today's selections?
"Faasel is sure to travel well and let’s just hope today he finds of the bridle and get his head in front."
Today's movers come from the meetings at Ludlow, Doncaster and Lingfield...
We start the day with our lay in the 15:10 at Ludlow. The horse in questions is David Evans' Esteem who has drifted from [2.24] out to [2.72]. The nine-year-old has been in good form of late when completing, the one weak point of his racing seems to be his jumping. He has unseated twice recently so his jumping has to be a worry along with question mark about how much he has over the handicapper.
Over to Doncaster we go for the 15.30 where there has been a move for Faasel, the David Pipe in mate has been backed from [6.33] into [4.3]. The horse has some cracking pieces of form on offer, none more so than at the end of last season when finishing second to Poker De Sivola in the gold cup handicap chase at Sandown. The problem for the veteran though has been getting his head in front. He is sure to travel well and let's just hope today he finds of the bridle and get his head in front.
Lastly we are at Lingfield for the 16:30 where the inform Pale Orchid has been backed from [2.76] into [2.1]. David Evans' three-year-old has been in the first two in his last five runes, winning twice. Today he drops in distance to six furlongs but that must be a positive considering how well he travelled when beaten narrowly by the progressive Discoverer last time out. It could be argued that he drops down in class today and should run a big race.
