Two of today's bets go at Lingfield

"This drop back to 6f should suit Mister Mackenzie and the money down suggests he should go close today."

Today's FTM selections can be found at Lingfield and Wolverhampton.

We start in the opening race at Lingfield, a 6f Handicap at 13:20 where there has been sustained support for Mister Mackenzie who has shortened in to [3.7] from [7.4]. Having made the frame in all of his five starts he makes his handicap debut looking to get his head in front for the first time. His consistent level of form means he has to carry top weight today but he is less exposed than most of his rivals. This drop back to 6f should suit and the money down suggests he should go close today.

Staying at Lingfield and in the 6f Handicap at 14:25 there has been good money for Super Frank who has been as high [12.5] but is now as shorts [7.0]. Despite being a 9yo, ability remains intact as shown when only two lengths back in fifth place at Wolverhampton a week ago. That was his first ever run over the minimum trip and he got going too late. The return to 6f should be in his favour and if continuing in that vein he is on a decent mark on some of his old form to make his mark here.

Our final selection is the day's negative which comes at Wolverhampton in the shape of Daniel Thomas who runs in the 1m½f Handicap at 15:15. His price has drifted out to [4.2] having been [3.1] early on. He has been in good form of late winning his last two outings and he should make a bold effort in his hat-trick attempt. But he carries a 6lb penalty, and whilst he has won off higher marks than his current 60 before, the last time he did so was back in 2009. More recent attempts off similar ratings have proved unsuccessful. Daniel Thomas should be respected in his hat-trick bid but he may find things too tough today.
