Today's Follow The Money moves come from Kempton and Lingfield as the cold snap keeps the focus on the all-weather

The adverse weather continues to affect racing in the UK so we rely on the all weather meetings for our inspiration. Today's selections come from Kempton and Lingfield.

We start at Lingfield and in the 7f Selling Stakes at 13:10 where we find today's negative in the shape of Prize Point who has eased out to [3.25] from [2.36]. This Jim Boyle-trained 4yo comes here for only his fifth ever race with his last start coming 561 days ago, when trained by Kevin Ryan. He showed some ability In his previous four starts and if returning at the same level he should figure, but his fitness has to be taken on trust. A few non-runners have made this race even weaker, but he still has some battle-hardened rivals in opposition and he may find one or two of them too much for him this time.

Over at Kempton there has been solid support for Ivan Vasilevich, who has come in to [3.7] from [5.4] to win the 1m2f Maiden at 14:50. He comes here looking to get off the mark at the eighth attempt - not an encouraging record - but his latest effort in handicap company at Wolverhampton nine days ago was more positive when running on well for pressure. That effort suggests this step up in trip could be in his favour and being that he is only a 2yo he may just be getting the hand of this racing lark. The money suggest he could go one place better today.

Our final selection also comes from Kempton and in the 1m2f Handicap at 15:20 where there has been fair money for Franco Is My Name who has shortened to [3.8] from [5.6]. He showed a return to form last time out when winning with something in hand over course and distance last month and his task was made more difficult that day as he had to come wide to make his attack so the 3lbs rise, which is negated by his jockey today may underestimate his achievement and although he has never won off a mark this high he may be running into a similar vein of form which saw him rack up a hat-trick earlier in the year.
