"Bendant has been backed in to [4.70] from [6.60]."
Today's Follow The Money movers come from the meetings at Ffos Las and Market Rasen.
Our first race is the 15:00 at Ffos Las where Randjo has had strong support to move from [10.00] to [4.60]. Although he went up 13 pounds for his impressive win last January, there were signs that he was beginning to get to grips with this level until last time out when he unseated after a bad mistake. It would seem however, judging by the confidence shown by backers this morning, that no lasting damage was done and today could be the day he gets back to winning ways.
Over at Market Rasen, in the 15:15, State Benefit has been on the drift this morning from [3.25] out to [4.00]. In what looks to be a tight betting contest, confidence in this Nicky Henderson trained former point-to-point winner has begun to ebb slightly. After a winning start over hurdles last season he didn't show the expected progression and he made a less than auspicious start to his chase career with a crashing fall at Fontwell. Despite two good runs since then there is a feeling that he will find at least one too good today, with the well thought of Mic's Delight his most likely foe.
The final selection is in the 16:40 at Ffos Las where Bendant has been backed in to [4.70] from [6.60]. He was unlucky to come up against well handicapped rivals in his first two hurdles races this season and is still off a decent mark himself. Both going and distance were unsuitable for him last time out when sent over three miles in heavy ground and he should fare much better dropped to 2 miles today. Cheek pieces are also tried for the first time and backers seem confident of a bold show.
