As bumper edition of bets today as Carl Harris makes five picks...

Tuesday is usually a struggle to find anything to get involved with.

But not today!

I have four bets and a lay which I feel are all too good to ignore, so here we go.

I will be at Beverley, which is only 10 minutes down the road from me, where I will be backing Northern Flyer (3.45) who showed that his revised mark of 62 is no problem when going down by a head at Catterick. John Quinn has a very good young jockey in Jamie Kyne who is exceptional value for his five pounds claim and this is a race that they ought to win.

My best bet on the card is Yonder (4.15) who can complete the hat-trick for the Hughie Morrison yard. Wins at Salisbury and Lingfield looked stronger races than today's and I will lay Monte Platino too who I cannot see winning. This one has gone up five pounds and hails from a stable that doesn't have many winners and shouldn't trouble Yonder, despite the booking of the excellent Paul Hanagan. Steve Drowne makes the trip to the East Yorkshire venue to ride Yonder which I think is significant.

The best bet of the day is Swiss Art (7.40) who is thriving for new trainer Ruth Carr. This is a poor looking claimer which should provide a quick double for connections, albeit at a short price. It would be difficult to make a case for any of his six opponents, and I will be having a rather large bet on Swiss Art.

Starstruck Peter (8.40) at Yarmouth cost me a few quid last time when I laid him, but I knew my fate early on. It's amazing how when you lay a horse you watch their run intently and I will get my money back on him today as he lands the hat-trick. Jim Best has done a great job with this horse who had plenty in reserve at Folkstone and is not done with winning. He is very well handicapped despite the six pound penalty.

3.45 Beverley- Northern Flyer, win
4.15 Beverley- Yonder, win
4.15 Beverley- Monte Platino, lay
7.40 Southwell- Swiss Art, win
8.50 Yarmouth- Starstruck Peter, win
