Carl Harris is backing two horses to make him Mister Happy today...
Today, I have two very strong selections on the flat and over the jumps. It's what I call a bread and butter day, as far as betting is concerned, but at Catterick I think we will see a pretty decent horse who will go on to better things.
Mister Angry (2.30) runs in what is a very good race, certainly for Catterick, and will leave backers anything but if reproducing his performance at Wolverhampton. He handed out a lesson in winning to his opponents, showing them total distain and trotting up by seven lengths, improving from his racecourse debut. I think we will see yet more improvement from Mark Johnston's son of Cape Cross who could progress to be a very decent horse indeed. I rate that performance last time very highly and will be backing Mister Angry to make me Mister Happy today.
Over the jumps I was on Rhinestone Ruby (8.10) last time when she was denied by a nose over two-and-a-half miles. She drops down in trip with Robert Thornton taking over from Richard Johnson in a race that will take little winning. With the exception of McCoy's mount I would struggle to make any sort of case for her opponents in this Worcester handicap. She has a good turn of foot and should be suited to the trip, certainly her trainer has booked a top jockey to get the job done. I rate Rhinestone Ruby as a good bet, but would say Mister Angry is the best bet off the day.
Good Luck.
