"Spinning Ridge is in such good form at present that he looks banker material in the claimer"
Timeform's Sam Randall has a crack at Wolverhampton's placepot...
14.20 - The opener is a competitive contest, but it should be run at a good pace and, as such, it's wise to side with the hold-up pair of Argentine, who is in good form, and Dorothy's Dancing, who has shaped as if coming to the boil recently.
14.50 - There aren't many convincing characters in the second leg but with Vertueux, who ran well last time, and Lucky Diva, who found herself poorly placed when fifth at Wolverhampton on her latest start, there should be enough to see us through to the third.
15.25 - A potentially tactical seller and Unlimited, who has gone from the front in the past and will be suited by the return to seven furlongs, looks sure to go well. However, with only two places up for grabs the reliable One Way Or Another should also be taken.
15.55 -Trojan Rocket looks set to play a major part given he's in form and that he crucially has the benefit of a young rider who looks well worth his claim. Of the rest, I Confess is always a good one to have on side for place purposes given his consistency and toughness and if Trojan Rocket underperforms he should prove an able deputy.
16.30 - Spinning Ridge is in such good form at present that he looks banker material in the claimer, especially given that the remainder are fairly unreliable.
17.00 - Valley Tiger needs including as if he's in the same form as last time he'll be impossible to keep out the places. However, he sometimes pulls hard and is by no means a solid banker, so Bentley, who hails from an in-form yard, and Just Timmy Marcus, who shaped well last time, are also included.
Selections:
14.20 - 6, 9
14.50 - 2, 3
15.25 - 2, 6
15.55 - 1, 7
16.30 - 1
17.00 - 1, 5, 8
