More tips and hints from Nick starting next Monday!
It's been a great ride but after this week Nick Shiambouros' 80-20 will no longer be a daily feature on the racing pages of betting.betfair.com..
But don't worry there'll be plenty more of the great man on the site.
Instead of the 80-20, Nick will be writing a fuller preview of the day's action incorporating his best bets of the day with suggested prices to take and the horses to watch.
It's all part of improving the site and giving you more of what you like. Enjoy!

If it aint broke, dont fix it.
First the Brigadier goes, to be replaced by a service that is too clever for its own good, now the 80/20.
Bring back the Brigadier and 80 /20 - nice and simple, take it or leave it!

Please stop tinkering with the site, not sure that dropping the 80/20 will win you many friends, many of us looked forward to Nick's selections and prefer a straight forward service.
Too many bells and whistles !

It's a shame. I am a big fan of the 80-20 but I suppose it's a tough gig to pull off every day.
Keep up the good work though Nick. I'll continue to keep an eye out for your selections.

Hi all,
Thanks for you thoughts.
Firstly, there will still be plenty of 80-20s in the new previews.
The improved column really just allows Nick a little more room for maneouvre and the chance to make selections outside of the 80-20 format.
In short, it'll be a punchy piece with more potential Shiambouros punts for you. A good thing I think - I hope you give it a try and agree. Of course, if you don't, people power will probably win the day!

I love Nick's hints, and am glad you're not taking him off completely. I'm only sorry that I miss them in the week as I have to go to work, so if you want to change anything, please put them on before 8 a.m.
I'm also sorry to see the Brigadier disappear.

Please bring back the Brigadier

I'm glad the 80-20 is staying and any extra write up alongside it can only be a bonus.
The brig has his own blog that is well worth checking out http://thebrigadiersblog.blogspot.com/

Hey Nick what happened to the "patent" bet? I guess the losing strike has finally caught up with your strike rate.
