An Australian in Taunton has caught Nick's eye...

Today's 80-20 is Australia Day in the 13:50 at Taunton.

This son of US stallion Key Of Luck was once considered Group class by her previous trainer and broke her maiden in fine style on ground with some give in it in Ireland last year.

In his two runs this season he has steadily improved and like yesterday's selection he does need to settle well today in order to give himself a chance of being competitive.

I am sure that his talented conditioner has focused on trying to relax Australia Day and we should have a solid chance of landing the 80-20 at a really decent price.

Today's 80-20 finished third

Today's 80-20 is Spring Dream in the 13:40 at Leicester.

This daughter of Kalanisi had some reasonable form on the flat for another trainer and showed some fquality when there's give in the ground.

She has raced a little freely in the past but I am certain her trainer will have ironed out all the kinks before giving her this introduction.

I do not believe this race will take a lot of winning and providing Spring Dream settles we should have a good chance of landing the 80-20 at a good price.

Today's 80-20 is Always Ask in the 14:20 at Sedgefield.

This Irish Point winner has been off the course a fair amount of time, however fitness should not be a problem given the profile of his conditioner.

This gelded son of Simply Great has three entries over the next few days giving me the indication that he will be ready to do himself justice. There are several horses in this race that are beginning to look exposed and I believe we had a fair chance of landing the 80-20 at a reasonable price.

Today's 80-20 was pulled-up

Today's 80-20 is Gallic Charm in the 14:30 at Lingfield Park.

This daughter of Key Of Luck has only had one start but she shaped with a good deal of promise when running on well to finish sixth to Dhhamaan in a maiden over seven furlongs at this course.

It is interesting that her trainer is re opposing the fourth horse Nice Wee Girl over this additional distance of a mile. I think that Gallic Charm will improve off her last run and will relish the extra distance today to give us a good chance of landing the 80-20 at a fair price.

Today's 80-20 was unplaced

Nick, I like the 80/20 but it would be interesting to put in the price you get when posting this info on your site, i would also like to know at what time do you enter this info as i have looked late evening, as you said you posted it late at night.I would like to avoid the late rush.
Thank you for the 18.0 tip today only small bet but these realy make a big difference.
Great service from all look forward to many years of listing to it all not just the sport.

Keith, wait till the big song and dance occurs when he tips a 4-5fav. His strike rate is awful. No use tipping an 18-1 when its pulled up, is it?

  4. Redd | 12 December 2007

Bernard B have you been following nick on a regular basis ? I think not ! Nick is nothing short of a genius. He regularly tips up big odds winners and by the way his 18-1 was a winner (not pulled up). You seem to be basing your opinion on the last 2 or 3 80/20 s. This guy is probably the best tipster there is. The only guy who comes close is Andi Constantinou. But if your not happy with his selections, just remember he is only offering you his opinion...you dont have to follow his tips.
Listen to him the next time he is on betfair radio...I promise you, you will not be disappointed. good luck

Bernard B you are a mug. Nicks tipping ability is outrageous. Wheres you pitch on this website Bernard...sorry what you haven't got one!

  6. Bernard B | 12 December 2007

Luke, (or Nick in disguise), the selection today finished where? 3rd I believe, at 4-1, so 20% of that pays how much for that silly bet? Nought! If you know what you are doing with the 80-20 or 70-30 whatever, you pick decent odds horses.

  7. Redd | 12 December 2007

Bernard B, Your argument is based on one race. if you follow nick on all his selections.. the one's he gives out on betfair radio and particularly the us racing tips. Then you CANNOT fail to make money.

    f.a.o Bernard B
Sorry my comment enraged you but if you think Nick's tipping is poor, why look at the 80/20.
Have you thought of laying all the 80/20 if the selctions are so terrible, you can then obtain a positive attitude towards following his very astute and knowledgible comments, these give the novice punter a real chance if you know someone who is better please tell us and we can all make money.
    Keith

Nick, i still have a problem realizing how come you chose 80-20 over 70-20-10!

alltogether i love your broadcasts, because we can't get the races on t.v.

Israel is listening, waiting for an answer.

    cheers!
