Gordon Elliott: My two runners at Dundalk this evening

Gordon saddles two runners at Dundalk this evening

"He's in good form at home and while this looks reasonably competitive, his handicap mark looks about right at the moment being 4lbs higher than his winning race here in early November."

Silverlord and Formal Bid represent Gordon Elliott's stable in Friday's all-weather action from Dundalk...

21.00 Dundalk - Silverlord

He might have been a little stretched at a mile and a half when seventh of 14 runners here last time out so we've dropped him back in distance to a mile and a quarter which may suit him better. He's in good form at home and while this looks reasonably competitive, his handicap mark looks about right at the moment being 4lbs higher than his winning race here in early November. He likes Dundalk so hopefully he runs a good race and I'd give him a good each-way chance.

21.25 Dundalk - Formal Bid

He gave a good account of himself when third (of 12 runners) at Wolverhampton last month. He travelled well throughout and ran out of steam in the final furlong but I think he'll appreciate the mile and a half trip here and he's working well at home. The race itself looks competitive but we certainly have place claims at the least and I'm expecting him to run a nice race.
