Betfair punters get extra trading out of Kieren Fallon's mount Dylan Thomas after Arc result goes to the stewards
In a fantastic Arc field that included Soldier of Fortune and Derby winner Authorised, Dylan Thomas traded at a pre-race high of 9.
While Authorised - with Frankie Dettori on board - failed to be a serious threat, Youmzain proved to be the main challenger, trading around the 2.5 mark in-running after being 130 pre-race and also being backed at 1000 in the Betfair antepost market.
Fallon steered Dylan Thomas across the line first but a claim of interference with Soldier of Fortune and Zambezi Sun caused the stewards consider the result for 20 minutes.
That opened up the opportunity for some fast and furious betting on Betfair - Dylan Thomas opened up at 1.3 to keep the race but at one stage drifted to 1.85, with Youmzain shortening into 2.2.
Nevertheless, the Longchamp stewards agreed with the backers of the Aiden O'Brien trained horse and the result stood.
