Wincanton runner rounds off Nick's betting week
At Wincanton today Connak should be hard to beat in the 4pm.
The selection won with authority last time out beating Buck The Legend by a pole. I do not think that he faces a strong field here and is currently trading at [2.0] but I would advise monitoring the market as he may drift a little by post time.

Saturday April 19th
Sir Gerry is an interesting runner in the 4.pm at Newbury today. Last season he won at the first time of asking at Thirsk on ground that was pretty soft in his maiden. Then, at York, he showed his class with a blistering turn of foot to win the Gimcrack. His astute trainer has won a race at the Craven meeting at HQ and his horses appear to be fit enough this early in the season to be competitive. At present Sir Gerry is trading at [6.0] which is a fair price for this event.
At Ayr in the first race at 1.55 Mr Crystal is a horse that could run well at a decent price. He ran very well in defeat last time out giving plenty of weight away to the winner. Currently he is trading at [9.0] in the win market

Friday April 18th
At Ayr today in the first race (2.20) Honour High makes the long journey to Scotland for this contest and I will be having an interest in both markets. This former 80/20 winner has been steadily improving and should go well in this contest possessing a proven ability to handle the underfoot conditions. At present the selection is trading at [9.2] on the exchange.
At Yarmouth in the 6.35, a small interest is advised on Mutajarred in this three horse affair. All this horse has done is improve and with the stable very capable of getting a horse ready off the shelf he could go very close.

Thursday April 17th
Nick returns to HQ for Thursday's daily bet.
Last year, I felt that Pipedreamer was a Group horse in the making before he won the Cambridgeshire in easy fashion. Today the selection gets his chance in the 4.20 where he currently trades at [2.74], a price I have taken. In addition, the stable is white hot at this meeting with four winners on Wednesday. The selection is lightly raced and could still be improving.

Wednesday April 16th
At Newmarket today in the 3.45, Spinning Lucy is of interest to me in both the win and place markets.
She put a up a very smart performance at HQ last year when winning a decent contest. She looked very well that day considering she had a couple of races in quick succession and I think she will go well at a big price today in this very hot contest.

Tuesday April 15th
It's Tuesday and Nick's reaching for the lay button
At Exeter today in the 2.40 Exmoor Ranger is a horse that I will be laying. He has had a couple of hard races recently and has to concede weight to some promising types including Strong Coffee, who could go well at a price. At present Exmoor Ranger is trading at 3.0 in the lay market.

Monday April 14th
At Wolverhampton today Wood Chorus should go well in what is an interesting maiden at 3.50.
There was plenty to like about her debut last year at Yarmouth when she ran third to a fair sort at the end of October. At present she is trading at [2.24] and I have backed her at this price. I would advise monitoring the market carefully as her price could change either way due to the presence of the well-bred Tableau Vivant, who is making her debut for a high profile yard.

hi nick, you may remember me from emails a plenty on radio betfair, i was wondering if you did a private tipster service, i have subscribed to a few in the past with not a lot of succsess. but since i tuned into the betfair show, my betting fortunes have turned for the better, but im still prone to the chasing losses routine some days. i would love to recieve a reply from you. cheers brian. burton upon trent
