Two horses that have recently caught the eye of Timeform's reporters...
"Destiny Blue has notched up a brace of handicap victories recently, and looks set to add to his tally before the season is out"
The Jamie Osborne-trained Destiny Blue has notched up a brace of handicap victories recently, and looks set to add to his tally before the season is out. On his penultimate start, Destiny Blue took his form to a new level when surging clear to win by three-and-a-half lengths at Yarmouth, and he improved again under a six-pound penalty at Redcar last time, where he proved his aptitude for fast ground and ability to stay a mile-and-a-quarter with another emphatic success. He won in the manner of one some way ahead of his mark, going strongly as he led over 2f out and merely pushed out to stretch clear of the runner-up. Destiny Blue looks well ahead of the handicapper, and is very much one to keep on side for the remainder of the season and beyond.
Last year's Prix de l'Abbaye winner Total Gallery signalled that he is on the way back to top form in a Group 3 at Newbury recently. Stan Moore's flagbearer was well below his best at Royal Ascot in June, and was given a three-month break afterwards. He gave plenty of encouragement on his reappearance at Newbury, travelling well towards the rear and finishing a close sixth behind Astrophysical Jet, looking likely to come on for the run. He has doubtless been aimed at the Abbaye once again, and his best form would give him an excellent chance in the Longchamp dash.
