Twist Magic repays the those who kept the faith and backed him at 25 on Betfair
TWIST MAGIC drifted to [25.0] to win the Tingle Creek on Betfair earlier this week, but he made the layers pay for their over-reaction when winning the Grade 1 2m contest today.
The horrendous weather forecast led many to speculate that Twist Magic, thought to be best on good ground, would not be allowed to take his chance and he drifted from [6.0] out to [25.0] on Wednesday.
Confirmed as a runner at the overnight stage though, he was a [7.0] chance at the off on Betfair today. But he belied even those reduced odds on the rain-softened ground to beat Voy Por Ustedes by 3 lengths, after traveling superbly throughout the race.
Twist Magic is now the [3.35] favourite on Betfair to win the 2008 Champion Chase, with this year's winner Voy Por Ustedes a [5.3] chance.
