Paul Nicholls' master chaser somehow trades at an enormous (for him) [5.0] during bloodless King George win.

Kauto Star was the heavily-backed [2.4] to [2.0] (Betfair SP of [2.008]) winner of the Stan James King George VI Chase at Kempton today - but somehow he drifted to [5.0] in-running on Betfair, to serious sums.

He is now in to [4.0] on Betfair to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup, sandwiched between stablemates Denman ([2.94]) and Neptune Collonges ([10.0]) in the betting.

Betfair's Tony Calvin said: "Obviously, there have been more extreme in-running betting stories, but I am gobsmacked that he went above evens in running, let alone [5.0].

"Forget the horses - they should dope test the layers."
