Huge winner and short loser on day one of Flat season
It didn't take long for the 2008 Flat turf season to throw up its first Betfair in-running [1.01] loser and 999-1 winner - and they both came in the same race, the 4.35 at Doncaster today.
Internationaldebut looked sure to collect when leading by three lengths going into the final furlong of the 1m2f maiden, and over £14,000 was traded on him at the Betfair minimum odds of [1.01].
But he could only finish third to the strong-finishing No To Trident, who one lucky Betfair punter managed to back at the exchange's ceiling price of [1000.0] for £1.50.
