Ratings organisation strong on the favourite's chances in feature race of second day.
Wednesday's Royal Ascot card may lack for star quality but Tartan Bearer is the classiest horse on show, according to Timeform.
Sir Michael Stoute's four-year-old is currently trading at [2.9] on Betfair to win the Group 1 1m2f Prince Of Wales's Stakes, and Timeform rate him 2lb clear of the opposition.
Timeform spokesman Kieran Packman explained: "It has to be said that this year's renewal lacks strength in depth and it looks set up for Tartan Bearer to show what he's capable of before a potential clash of the generations with Sea The Stars.
"He did really well to beat Pipedreamer at Sandown on his belated return in April, making up three lengths in a race that tested speed.
"Prix Ganay winner Vision d'Etat looks his principal danger, as he's game and reliable and proven at the trip and is versatile regards ground. Never On Sunday was better than ever when landing the Group 1 Prix d' Ispahan again at Longchamp last month, but he's yet to race on ground firmer than good."
