The racing continues and so does the competition. Wednesday was tough for all, can they do better on day three?

Kevin Blake of Timeform struck first blood on Wednesday as his NB bet Neptune Collonges put up a big performance to take the day's feature, The Guinness Gold Cup. The horse seems to love it here at Punchestown and his owner, John Hales, will be keen to put a program in place next season that will again lead to the festival next year. Kevin can feel a little aggrieved at the price as the winner was forecast to go off odds-against but the Betfair SP of [1.94] was still marginally ahead of the returned official SP of 9-10. Everyone else drew blanks on the day with Endless Intrigue coming in a gallant second for Eoin in the Champion Bumper; no match for Cousin Vinny though, who followed up his Cheltenham win with a hugely impressive winning display here.

In this game though, it's all about winners and Johnny Ward still heads the list thanks to his strong day 1 performance.
