Luca Cumani filly a warm order for feature race while Liberation and Rockhampton are tough to split in Tattersalls Timeform 3-Y-O Trophy betting.

With 1,000 Guineas market leaders Rainbow View and Serious Attitude set to work before racing, and at least three races possibly set to throw up Classic pointers, tomorrow's Newmarket card looks set to finally spark some life into some subdued ante-post betting to date.

Fantasia will head many people's lists of potential Classic winners on the card (though to many people's chagrin, it could well be in France where she is aimed for Group 1 glory) and Luca Cumani's filly currently trades at [22.0] on Betfair for the English 1,000 Guineas and [16.0] for the Epsom Oaks.

She looks set to go off at odds-on for the Nell Gwyn if the early Betfair market is any guide.
Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin commented: "We have had markets up for tomorrow's racing since yesterday afternoon but, as you would expect, betting has been very light indeed.

"However, Fantasia has been tickled into [1.86] from an opening [3.0], and she looks set to go off at odds-on."

Kieran Packman, Timeform's Communications Manager, added: "The opening day of the Craven meeting is high on quality and we're delighted to be involved with the new addition to the programme, the Tattersalls Timeform 3-Y-O Trophy.

"It looks a strong race, with Liberation setting a high standard for the returning Godolphin team. Aidan O'Brien's Rockhampton carries the Timeform 'large P' after his impressive return in a maiden and he's another fascinating contender.

"The Nell Gwyn looks a relatively straightforward task for Classic fancy Fantasia, although the unexposed Wajaha is an interesting prospect for the in-form John Gosden."
