Twenty-eight down, seven to go. And the seven races left during Glorious Goodwood 2009 include a wickedly difficult Stewards' Cup and an absorbing Nassau Stakes. Racing UK analyst Graham Cunningham looks to end the week on a high with his usual mix of back and lay angles from the four best races on one of the flagship Flat cards of the summer.

You won't be surprised to hear me say this looks wide open or that it's probably one for small stakes, but there is usually an angle to be found if you look hard enough.

Thin Red Line looks a potential value angle win and place given that he is progressive and went down by a whisker in similar company at Haydock.

Jedi is also open to improvement but will be priced accordingly after a break, while Lady Luachmhar exploited a handy mark at Haydock but is in much deeper here.

Itlaaq is a proven Goodwood performer having come from well back to win cleverly here last time, while the strong-galloping Zarinski has left John Oxx for Jim Best since his good run at Royal Ascot but might well find this on the sharp side.

I'm warm on Zacinto and Gallagher in this strong Listed contest and cool on Donativum.

It's plainly all a question of price with Zacinto, who hosed up on his Sandown debut last year and put up a cracking effort in Group 2 company at Doncaster when worn down late by the subsequent dual Classic-placed Westphalia.

He might just be too good for this lot, and on balance he deserves to be favourite at around [2.8], but anyone tempted to steam in might find it well worth having a saver on Gallagher, a reliable colt with a solid chance at these weights and fresh from a fluent defeat of the subsequent Bunbury Cup winner Plum Pudding at Newbury.

Donativum ties in closely with Zacinto on last year's form and also with Gallagher based on their running behind Ouqba in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Frankie's presence in the saddle will ensure he corners a chunk of the market, but he isn't the most straightforward of rides and the 4lb penalty incurred for a hard-earned Listed win at Deauville gives him definite lay potential here.

Midday is the strict form choice based on her Oaks second, but she had a hard race in the mud at the Curragh and I wonder if this might be coming too soon.

Oaks third High Heeled might well take her revenge after a fluent York win, but Rainbow View's turn of foot has been blunted in top company this year and Katiyra didn't shape like a Group 1 winner waiting to happen on her Curragh reappearance.

Heaven Sent is closely matched with Spacious and Rainbow View on Newmarket form, but this longer trip looks a plus and it's worth remembering she went close when set plenty to do in what may well have been a stronger renewal of this last year.

Her each way claims are plain to see, while Moneycantbuymelove takes a marked step up in class but warrants considerable respect given that she is thriving on racing and owns the crucial asset of a telling turn of foot.

The pace and draw are the obvious starting points and, at first glance, it looks like they will go very hard from the off with a clutch of front runners on the far side.

As always, any number of horses can be given a chance, but Markab looked made for this when showing excellent pace in the Wokingham and it's no wonder he is trading at the top of the market.

By contrast, I'm much less keen on his market rival Prohibit. Granted, John Gosden's runner came home well to finish on the heels of Markab at Ascot, but he seems increasingly prone to getting behind. In short, he looks an awkward customer and I suspect I'll be sorely tempted to lay him for a place.

Back on the plus side, Barney McGrew is handicapped to go close based on his agonising defeat by Knot In Wood at York last week. He's potentially overpriced if the low numbers aren't at a disadvantage, but the admirable Knot In Wood has a small penalty for his York win and that could put paid to his winning chance.

Of the rest, Tamagin has been in great form but faces severe pressure for the lead on the far side here. He's another potential place lay candidate, while Enderby Spirit has been in great form against three-year-olds but is another potential place lay given that his price has shortened appreciably in recent days.
