Betting pointers for the fifth day from Andrew Hughes
2:05 - Bluesquarepoker.com Stakes (Class 3 Handicap), 1m3f
Another highly competitive three-year-old handicap, though those at the top of the ratings are not in great form. Further down the list, Addikt and Stow have been in great form at a lower level and should be able to handle the step up in class.

2:40 - Thoroughbred Stakes (Listed), 1m
A strong Listed race for three-year-olds on the up and those who have failed to make their mark at a higher level. Perfect Stride is likely to be popular in the betting following his impressive win at Ascot last week. River Proud was last seen finishing third in the French 2,000 Guineas, after having problems in the stalls.

3:15 - Nassau Stakes (Group One), 1m1f192yards
A high calibre Group One for fillies and mares that gets better each year and offers plenty of top class form to peruse. Heaven Sent ran well in the Falmouth Stakes, but does prefer a strong pace and whilst Lush Lashes' win in the Coronation Stakes is top class form, she didn't like the undulations at Epsom. Passage Of Time won a Listed race last time in a manner that suggests she might be back to her best.

3:50 - Stewards' Cup (Heritage Handicap), 6f
One of the hottest sprint handicaps in the world and a massive field go to post in what is also one of the betting highlights of the year. Borderlescott loves this race, having won it in 2006 and finished runner-up last year and is likely to go well again. Knot In Wood's fourth in the Wokingham is solid form and Orpsie Boy was last seen finishing like a train in the Sprint Stakes last week.

4:25 - EBF Maiden Stakes (Class 2), 7f
A very useful maiden for two-year-olds, featuring some colts of real potential. A mix of unraced and those with varying degrees of racecourse experience make for a tricky race to weigh up. Holyrood is a son of Falbrav and ran green on his debut at Newmarket but ran on very nicely. Of the unraced horses, Khan Tegri and Jukebox Jury are well-bred colts with lofty entries

5:00 - Nursery Stakes (Class 2 Handicap), 6f
A hell for leather six-furlong nursery in which the genuine speedsters will come to the fore. Tishtar looked comfortable in winning his Salisbury maiden whilst Taazur has had a consistent season thus far.

5:35 - Apprentice Stakes (Class 3 Handicap), 1m1f
A modest handicap to close. Fort Churchill is top on speed ratings but has been poor for a while now. Of more interest is Zero Tolerance who has been bang in form of late and has a chance here to finally get his head in front.
