Bolger's horse matched at enormous prices before unexpectedly staying among Derby entries
Jim Bolger's New Approach has taken a rollercoaster ride on Betfair's ante-post Derby market - hitting a high of 210 before this morning's five-day declarations. A timeline of the price movements is reproduced below.
• New Approach traded at the Betfair market-low of [4.0] at 16.49pm on 6th February 2008.
• At 08.52am on April 21st, it was matched at [6.6].
• On April 22nd at 06.33am, it was matched at [40.0].
• The horse touched the market-high of 210 (209-1) during the early hours of June 1st.
• At 18.14pm last night, it was matched at [120.0]
• The first bet matched this morning (June 2nd) was at 08.15 am, at [110.0].
• It was matched at [65.0] at 08.20am.
• It was matched at [27.0] at 10.17am.
• It was matched at [14.0] at 11am.
• It was matched at [9.0] at 11.11am.
• The market was suspended at midday, as usual, for the five-day stage. The last price matched before suspension was [8.4].
