Godolphin are toasting a fifth victory in the St Leger after Mastery won the big race at Doncaster.
Mastery was matched at a Betfair starting price of [17.0] before Ted Durcan rode him home ahead of stablemate Kitewood after a thrilling final 500 hundred yards. Kitewood was ridden by Frankie Dettori andmatched at a low of [1.52]. Monitor Closely was matched at a low of [2.4].
Meanwhile, at the Curragh Alandi was matched at [50.0] before winning the Irish St Leger.
A Godolphin double looked like it was on the cards as Schiaprelli traded at [1.08] when he charged ahead. However, Alandi took the lead and held off the late challenge of Clowance, who was matched at [1.21], and reward those who had backed the horse at big odds.
Yeats ran a disappointing race and finished eighth.
