Ante-post betting moves suggest Moore has plumped for Papal Bull.

This time yesterday Ask was trading at [11.0] on Betfair for Saturday's King George, but he has doubled in price in the last 24 hours and now trades at [26.0] to back on the exchange.

Quite why Ask, who has traded at a low of [9.0] on Betfair's ante-post market and is still that price with several bookmakers, has drifted so much is hard to fathom.

But he is a clear Betfair betting negative in the race along with favourite Duke Of Marmalade, who trades at just over evens.

Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin commented: "As regards the Ask drift, it could well be that Ryan Moore is leaning towards riding Papal Bull at this stage and that punters feel the horse is not at his best on fast ground.

"But surely the drift would be a massive over-reaction in these circumstances.

"It was only at the Newmarket July meeting that Moore's current form was being grilled by many in the racing media, and it was officially firm when Ask was only beaten a nose in a Grade 1 race at Woodbine last October."
