Leading Grand National contender Dun Doire has pleased connections in the final stages of his build-up to the Aintree showpiece.
Dun Doire, who is bidding to give an Irish raider a third consecutive victory in the race, had a gallop at Navan on Sunday, a sparkling racecourse spin which pleased his trainer, Tony Martin.
"He worked over a mile-and-three-furlongs under Bobby McNally and I was very happy," reported Martin, who has booked Paul Carberry to partner Dun Doire on the big day.
"The pick up in the weather over the past week or so is helping his preparation and he's doing everything right, so fingers crossed we can get him to Aintree in one piece for Saturday week."
Over the past few months Dun Doire has been the subject of steady support at all rates from 34 on the Betfair win market, down to his current odds of 12.5, just behind current favourite, Point Barrow, priced at 11.5.
