Denman is already as short as 5.4 for the 2008 Cheltenham Gold Cup after maintaining his unbeaten record over fences.
The Paul Nicholls-trained seven-year-old was an impressive winner of the Royal & SunAlliance Chase at the Cheltenham Festival on Wednesday, with a ten-length victory over Snowy Morning.
Betfair punters obviously liked what they saw, as the only horse at a lower price for steeplechasing's most prestigious prize in the ante-post market is Denman's stable companion Kauto Star.
Denman put in such an awesome display of power that Ruby Walsh could have an enviable decision to make, if both horses get to post safe and sound in 12 months' time.
Denman's only career defeat came at the Festival in 2006, when he went down narrowly to Nicanor in the Royal & SunAlliance Hurdle.
