Betfair Festival Blog Day Four Update: I have to bow to Kauto, a great champion

Overall, it's been a losing week for blogger Robin Keck. But a great one nevertheless.
I throw myself at the feet of punters and beg your forgiveness.
I clearly don't know a champion when I see one and Kauto is one of the greats. Taking a contrarian view can often be the shrewd angle, but it's not much fun when the Cheltenham crowd scream home the good thing and you are wincing with financial pain.
Neptune ran well enough but seemed to be taken off his feet when the pace increased. I really did enjoy seeing Denman run so well and in turn it made Kauto's victory all the more meritorious.
I layed Dave's Dream for a place (although I hadn't tipped that) as the price shrank to [1.95] but that only paid for the Pride of Dulcote lay in the next.
It's been another great festival and from a punting perspective Silk Affair and Dunguib were the highlights. Lowlights include Diamond Harry hanging on for third by a neck and the Kasbah Bliss flop. I'm a monkey down but am sure I can recover that promptly in my bread and butter focus on handicaps and all-weather racing.
Anyone that is leaving with a loss could do worse that follow my syndicate's horse 'Coole River' in the bumper at Naas tomorrow. He has been freshened up since coming fourth in a very good race on Boxing day at Leopardstown and we're more than hopeful. Good luck to everyone and let's land a touch.
