Markets suggest Saturday racing will go ahead at the Cotswolds track...
The skies are darkening, the wind is stirring, and the serious rain has arrived at Cheltenham this afternoon, but Betfair's "Will Racing Go Ahead?" market suggests that tomorrow's Cheltenham meeting isn't in too much doubt - at the moment at least.
The market is in its infancy and has only seen just over £3,000 matched, but the current Betfair betting is [1.12] for racing to take place tomorrow, and [7.0] that it doesn't.
Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin commented: "It will be fascinating to see how the market moves in the coming hours, as the storm clouds certainly looked to be forming at Cheltenham come the end of today's action.
"Even Nick Luck had a hair out of place come the end of the RUK coverage."
So it looks as though racing will go ahead on Saturday. For that reason, read Graham Cunningham and Timeform's guide to the best bets.
