Flashstats: The market leader has a poor recent record with just one winning favourite in the last nine runnings. A win last time out is a major plus, only Punjabi in 2009 overcoming this in recent years. Nicky Henderson has won the race five times with three different horses. Six year-olds have won six of the last 15 runnings whilst recent history is against five-year-olds. Current trainer form is against Philip Hobbs with no winners from his last 26 runners.

Extra Race - 13:30 Stan James Supreme Novices' Hurdle
Flashstats: The favourite has a distinctly poor record with just three winners from the last 19 runnings. Irish trained runners have won eight of the last 12 and Willie Mullins is the most successful current Irish trainer. A win on previous start the most prevalent form pointer.
Nominations: Rathlin, Zaidpour, Magen's Star
