Betfair markets throw up shock jolly after Cheltenham trials...

As the dust settles on yesterday's Champion Hurdle trials, Zaynar has stabilised as the surprise [6.0] favourite on Betfair for the big one next March.

Yesterday's big race winner Khyber Kim has been matched at a high of [240.00] for the race on Betfair, and is into [13.0].

Betfair spokesman Tony Calvin commented: "The Betfair market is formed by weight of money, and supply and demand, rather than bookmaker opinion and liabilities.

"So it is a touch surprising to see Zaynar trade as short as the [6.0] favourite on the site."
