The Wimbledon Betting Week: Friday 21November
Adam Deadman picks the four best Wimbledon bets...
NAP 20.00 - Steeple Rd Liam
Steeple Rd Liam has a massive chance tonight. Drawn with slow starting Girls Lunch on his outside, there is every chance that he will be three lengths ahead of that rival going into the bend and in a race that is devoid of any serious early pace, that ought to be enough to give Andrew Peacock's charge a shout in this race. After the way he ran last week, he looks a fantastic bet tonight and can be punted with confidence. Girls Lunch is definitely one for the future whilst Central Park is running below par. Hollydale Boy is downgraded and has to be respected, especially with Girls Lunch on his inside and with improvement to come being a January 07 whelp.
NB 21.15 - Hollywood Storm
Hollywood Storm has a fantastic make up here. Drawn with no early pace on his inside, he has been given every chance to lead into the bend and build up an unassailable lead. "Chinned" last time out late on by Knockna Cailin, who is in terrific form, Tony Taylor's charge can take advantage of a recent drop in grade and do the business here. Talksport Swift will need to try and lead into the bend as her stamina is suspect but the draw outside of the selection is far from ideal. Holborn Rover, well into his 6th year, still retains plenty of appetite for the game and is fantastically well drawn out wide in the striped jacket. Kerrs Comet is downgraded.
Value Bet 22.15 - Bit View Raven
Bit View Raven appears to be value tonight. Well fancied Lilywhite Paddy along the fence has been in solid form lately but he isn't really a dog to pile into at a short price. There is every chance unexposed Jollybean will lead the favourite into the bend, thus creating traffic problems and there could be value out wide. Bit View Raven has won her last three starts and the penny has clearly dropped. This daughter of Top Honcho has been running remarkably well and going through the grades at present, she is strong, and there is no reason why she won't put a bold bid for glory in if negotiating a clean run to the bend. Shivering Jerry has a little bit of early pace but hasn't been running well lately and is perhaps starting to feel his age a little. Forecasted prices of double figures about Bit View Raven are value and should be taken.
Get It Beat! 20.45 - Opening Genie
Opening Genie is not the strongest runner at Plough Lane and needs an uncontested lead. That doesn't look likely here tonight with so much early pace in the race. There are plenty in with chances tonight and the trap 5 runner Blue Sparkle has 6 bend form. If she hits the front she will be odds on to land this, but there is every chance she will hold the "bismark" up to the bend and that act alone ought to see us land this bet. Dun Trading is a nice sort, whilst Wayward Tel along the fence is completely unexposed and well drawn with Kingsmill Flash next door. All things considered, the 6 box isn't the place to be tonight and I would lay the Bernie Doyle runner up to [3.75].
