Gleaming Carly, who was given a wide berth by backers, created a good impression when making a winning debut in a P9 contest at Walthamstow on Saturday.
John Sherry's charge, who pinged the lids from trap five in the 475-metres event, stretched out nicely down the back straight to make every yard of the running.
The March 05 whelp came home with three lengths to spare over his nearest challenger Peter Rich's maiden Remember Bill, with the remainder well spread out in behind.
With the likeable individual having posted a respectable 29:90 on the calculated clock, there is every reason to believe that Gleaming Carly, who should be better for the race, can go on from here.
In fact, it would come as no surprise to see Betfair backers make the decision to side with the daughter of Fortune Mike in the coming weeks, judged on her promising opening run at the Chingford Road circuit.
