With the final of the Arc looming closer, the ever-lively ante-post market is beginning to take shape ahead of Tuesday's prestigious event, which is due underway at 21:45 and the feature race on Tuesday's 14-race gala card at Walthamstow.
Zigzag Dutchy, who represents the Charlie Lister kennel along with the lesser-fancied Exclusive Lee, has attracted the baulk of the early support. The son of Dutchys Angel, who looked impressive when landing his semi-final heat by nine lengths, is currently available to back at 3.9 to small money, having been available at 11.5 prior to the start of the competition.
However, the surprise package of the 475m event, Alison Ingram's Vipar Totti, who was incredibly taken by a few astute customers at 160 early doors, may well be challenging 'Zigzag' for the favourite's slot on the night.
Mark Wallis' Raging Jack, who currently has come in for more support than
'Vipar', trades at 5, having been snapped up at 30 at the outset.
There has been little betting interest to date in Mick Puzey's Too Risky (currently 6.2)
and Ernie Gaskin's Legal Major (13).
