Daylight shining bright at Romford

Back By Daylight remains on course for victory in the Gerry Allen Quicksilver Trophy at Romford, despite going down by a short head in Monday's eliminator at the London Road circuit.

With the tough Back By Daylight having stayed on doggedly to be beaten by the minimum margin in 35:93, it would come as no surprise to envisage backers looking for the placings to be reversed in the £750 decider.

Back By Daylight is not the most prolific of greyhounds, having won just 15 of her 51 career starts, but perhaps most importantly, boasts a 50 per cent winning strike-rate over the course and distance.
