Leading Dublin bookmaker Ted Hegarty runs the rule over the Irish Derby in the current edition of the Dog Show.
Speaking with Mark Sullivan, the ebullient Hegarty reveals his views on the likely destiny of this year's biggest prize and Irish racing and also shares his thoughts on how the credit crunch has so far affected the betting scene in Dublin.
Also on the show, Bob Betts, the former greyhound editor of The Sporting Life explains the process employed to decide the six runners in the Select Stakes at Nottingham on Tuesday.
Betts also looks at the job ahead for Maurice Watkins, the Manchester United club solicitor who was recently announced the chairman of the Great Britain Greyhound Board, to be launched at the beginning of the year.
Bob Gilling tells us what it is to be Reading trainer in the wake of news that the Berkshire track will close on October 22 and Laurence Tuffin, the Nottingham trainer, looks forward to the Gold Collar at Belle Vue this week with Commander Chief, the runner-up in the Sussex Cup.
Yet another Dog Show packed with news and views and the odd tip thrown in.
