Jim Reynolds must be wondering why he hadn't raced Podges Dilemma at Hove a little more often as his bitch looks ripe to take the Brighton Belle final this evening (9:24) and stretch her unbeaten record at the Sussex track to five - three of those wins having come in the past three weeks, including the heats and semi-finals of this competition. Likely to still be improving after her seasonal rest, while a front-runner, an early lead is not a necessity, and she can sit in the slipstream of Britania Flyer before leading at halfway. Odds [2.5] or bigger appeals.

Pond Sienna has only just dropped out of top grade at Newcastle and is fancied to reverse form with rival Ballinclare Oak who finished one place ahead of her on Saturday in the 8:31 race. The key is her return to trap one which she seems to reserve her best form for a race where most of her rivals are A2 regulars. Play at [4.0] or bigger.

I'd be looking for [4.0] or better.
