"I reckon Moatview Moat will make very metre of the Sunderland 450 metres trip here, and he rates a decent bet at anything over [3.0]."
Ed Nicholson's nap selection was landed yesterday at Nottingham, and he goes back to Colwick Park for one of his selections this morning. And for the other, he travels to Sunderland to pick out a dog who has a 50% record in the grade in which he runs in today....
Moatview Mint (trap three) is expected to win his sixth race from just 11 A3 contests this afternoon at Sunderland.
The 6.04pm looks competitive on paper, but when you delve into the form you should be able to see that trap three has the early pace to get into an early position to record a similar time to the relatively rapid 27.57 that he recorded recently - and that time would be good enough to take this contest three times out of four in my opinion.
He should lead the inside pair as well as the trap four runner on his imediate outside, who does not possess exceptional early. The danger may come from a fast starting trap six - he was impresive in lower grade and as a January 2008 whelp can only improve - but he is a bit hit and miss at the boxes at present and consistency isn't a word that you could use to describe him.
I reckon Moatview Moat will make very metre of the Sunderland 450 metres trip here, and he rates a decent bet at anything over [3.0].
Over at Nottingham, the grader looks to have given Fabulous Gracie an excellent chance of landing the 12.47pm. The wide running trap six runner has only won seven from 40 contests at Colwick Park, but he has a perfect trap draw here and posesses the fastest recent time in the race.
Traps five and four should make the early running, but Fabulous Gracie should follow those around in third - and there's a huge possibility of scrummaging down on the inside behind them. Trap five could take some stopping if getting away very quickly, but on times - and the way the race should pan out - trap six should brush her aside and outstay her down the long home straight. Take anything over [3.60] on her today.
