The Hawk casts his beady eye over two interesting runners...
Blue Bullseye caught the eye at Colwick Park on the 10th April. Racing for just the 11th time, the March 2007 whelp ran on having been very slowly away and then was crowded when making his move.
Still, he finished just a 1/4 length behind the winner in an A7 and he must be followed to win in this grade shortly. He has only finished outside the first two on three attempts and given luck in running he should win before long. He has raced from the black jacket in all but his first race, and it would be interesting to see him trap three drawn outside two fast starters and inside two wide hounds.

Mineola Ashleen won an A4 six races back, and despite five losses since he could well pop up at a fair price soon. He has recently posted a 27.91 and won in 28.04. With a slow starting dog inside him and him deposited in the six box, I can see him making all. He was running in A3 class not long ago, and I have a sneaking suspicion that the grader might relent and drop him down a grade. If he was to do this, he would be an excellent bet in A5, but in A4 he should also be backed in his next three runs. He has been unlucky on more than one occasion recently.
