Start Again (T6) looks drawn for a big performance in the curtain raiser on Sunday's Oxford BAGS card, a modest A9 contest run over 450 metres and due underway at 14:21.

Haydock Breeze (T1), still a maiden after seven lifetime starts, ran a fine race in defeat when recording a swift 28.41 last month. Gil Hepden's snappy trapper cannot be discounted in a weak contest.

Oaks Angel (T2), who may struggle to clear T1 to the corner, holds a similar profile to that rival. Gil Hepden's second runner, who chases a first win from seven career outings, boasts quicker times on the clock, and the daughter of Roanokee is expected to be doing sterling work in the back straight.

Deanfield Bobby (T3), who is lacking in the experience department, bids to get off the mark at the second time of asking. Ron Bicknell's pup, who met with trouble in-running on his debut, will need to brush up his trapping to feature in the finish.

Captain Jo (T4), a former A4 hound, looks an intriguing prospect. With Angie Kibble's old-timer boasting a healthy 60 per cent winning strike-rate at this grade, the son of Staplers Jo should attract his fair share of backers.

Action Duchess (T5), a former Swindon grader, has started as a complete outsider in each of her last 11 outings. With Terry Kibble's hound needing to find her trapping boots, victory looks unlikely.

Start Again (T6), who was running in much better company only four outings ago, looks the class act. The daughter of Larkhill Jo, who posted a phenomenal 27.86 when producing an upset in an A6 race in December, would be, dare we say it, a certainty with a reproduction of that superb effort.

Meadow Lass possesses pace in A5

Meadow Lass (T3), the winner of four races from her last five starts, is expected to attract a good deal of interest in her bid to make a successful debut at the level in the A5 contest run over 450 metres and due underway at 17:11.

Time For Mike (T1), the winner of three of her last five races, comes here in sparkling form. Terry Atkins' slow-starting bitch, who ran with credit when runner-up on her A5 debut the other day, looks one for the short list.

Terrydrum Jessie (T2), a lightly raced individual, who posted a fast 27.64 when defeating T3 last month, bids to confirm superiority over her old adversary. Although Luciano Magnasco's pup appears to have lost her trapping boots recently, a peppy start would do her chances no harm in an open renewal.

Meadow Lass (T3), whose sole defeat from her last five starts came at the hands of T2, went on to record another success on her most recent start. Ron Bicknell's fast away greyhound, who is expected to dominate proceedings, should be hard to peg back.

Churchview Steve (T4), still a maiden after nine lifetime starts, looks difficult to enthuse about. With Ian Wills' representative tending to find trouble in his races, a lay should be a popular choice with many backers.

Spike Preview (T5), who takes a drop in class following six successive defeats in better company, should be going on at the business end. With Robert Hannan's experienced campaigner boasting a 40 per cent strike-rate in the grade, a surprise victory cannot be ruled out.

Rumpled Mack (T6), who should be prominent early doors, appears to run out of petrol in the last 100 metres. Gil Hepden's veteran, currently on a six-race losing run, looks one for the layers.

Jeffys Rock looks solid in A3

Jeffys Rock (T4), the hugely progressive winner of his last three starts, looks set to make an impact on his A3 debut in the concluding 17:44 event run over 450 metres.

Royal Prince (T1), who has tasted defeat in each of his last 16 races at this level, looks difficult to fancy. However, Angie Kibble's veteran, who posted a fast 27.45 on the clock the other day, should attract some support from a decent draw.

Northerly Gail (T2), without a win from ten lifetime starts, has nothing to find on the clock. Although Angie Kibble's youngster is expected to command attention in the pre-race market, those disappointing statistics do not lie and backers are advised to tread warily.

Farloe Rose (T3), formerly an A4 grader at Swindon, has failed to acclimatise to her new surroundings at the Sandy Lane circuit. With Maurice Massey's pup still chasing a first win here after six starts, a lay may be the wisest choice.

Jeffys Rock (T4) is undeniably the form contender of this line-up. Ian Wills' veteran, who has taken on a new lease of life recently, comes here on the back of three all-the-way successes, and looks the one they all have to beat.

Rackethall Blue (T5), a lightly raced type, is still without a win after seven career starts. Robert Hannan's hound, who boasts the pace to lead at the turn, may struggle to last home.

Peaches Delight (T6), who is expected to be outpaced on the outside, is currently on a 14-race losing streak. Gloria Stringer's bitch should appeal to layers.
