Massive Power boasts massive power in A8
Massive Power (T4) appears to have a tremendous opportunity to attempt to make every yard of the running at Romford's opening A8 contest run over 400 metres and due underway at 18:38.
Tams A Tool (T1) is set to have only his second race at the level since he made a winning debut in February 2005. Formerly a top grader, Martyn Wiley's old-timer holds a chance of making an impact, but needs to brush up his trapping technique.
Alexs Pal (T2), the youngest individual in the field, has showed distinct promise on her two outings to date, managing to recover from sluggish starts on each occasion to finish in the mix. Paul Young's runner is expected to win her share of races in time but will have to travel quicker on the stop watch.
Bronze Flyer (T3) finished ahead of Tams A Tool (T1) when recording a short-head verdict over that rival 12 days ago. However, with the draw favouring a reversal of form, Maggie Lucas' golden oldie is probably best opposed on this occasion.
Massive Power (T4) boasts easily the fastest sectional times in the contest, and is expected to take around two lengths out of the field at the turn. Granted a peppy exit, Martyn Wiley's fast contender looks capable of a trap-to-wire success.
Kalakah Sirap (T5) will strain every sinew in a bid to challenge Massive Power (T4) to the corner. However, Dave Mullins' representative needs to improve again from her previous efforts to become competitive at the business end.
Breath Of Spring (T6), a former six-bend stayer, is set to have only her sixth outing over the standard trip. Although Maggie Lucas' wide seed looked in rude health when coming from off the pace to land a similar event last month, the daughter of Honcho Classic appears to have lost her way more recently.
Peppy Poppy to dominate in A6
Sammardan Poppy (T4) looks an obvious contender for early pace honours in the A6 contest run over 400 metres and due underway at 21:29.
Teddys Luke (T1), formerly an A6 grader at Sittingbourne, finished ahead of Xaar Arapaho (T5) when finishing runner-up over the course and distance last Wednesday. However, with Maxine Locke's old war horse patently lacking in early pace, the August 03 whelp looks in danger of being left behind in the back section.
Urla Kit (T2) looks open to improvement after four career starts. However Alison Ingram's individual has displayed little fizz to suggest that she is ready to win, and a lay looks the call.
Twentypencejimmy (T3) looks a dangerous opponent. Maggie Lucas' fast starter took full advantage of a drop in grade when making all the running last week. With the progressive performer set to run without a penalty, the son of World Class is expected to run a sound race.
Sammardan Poppy (T4) boasts a likeable profile. Jim Reynolds' pup has won two races from her four outings to date while boasting the fastest early pace in the contest. The well-bred daughter of Larkhill Jo has given the impression that she looks capable of better in due course, and a winning debut at the grade looks on the cards.
Xaar Arapaho (T5), formerly an A2 grader, does not look the force of old. However, Paul Young's revitalised veteran has looked in good shape in landing two of his last four races, and victory cannot be ruled out.
Cheeky Chalky (T6) would hold strong claims if able to reproduce the form of his 24.76 in January. However, with Paul Young's sluggish starter likely to be outpaced at the corner in this company, a lay looks the sensible option.
High St Ego for confident start in A5
High St Ego (T3) would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to make a winning debut in the A5 contest run over 400 metres and due underway at 21:44.
Desperate Exit (T1) comes here with an unorthodox preparation, having raced three times over the six-bend journey. Martyn Wiley's hound posted a fast 24.74 in his trial, and would very nearly win with a reproduction of that sizzling effort.
Spark A Rumble (T2) was last seen in action in an A3 event nearly three months ago, so is clearly well treated by the race conditions. However, with Maxine Locke's contender drawn next to an erratic railer, there is no guarantee that he will be able to avoid traffic problems at the corner.
High St Ego (T3) appears to hold decent claims of making a winning debut in a race that should not take much winning. With Jim Reynolds' challenger looking quick at both ends judged on his trials, backers are advised to monitor his progress in the pre-race market.
Mee Chai (T4) tends to take his time from the traps, and may well be left behind by the quicker starters at the corner. However, with Martyn Wiley's golden oldie having posted a phenomenal 24.70 in his recent trial, victory remains a possibility.
Grizzley (T5) should have the speed to take care of Mee Chai (T4) and Propose Parker (T6) early doors. Dropped in grade, Alison Ingram's individual enters the equation in a puzzling contest.
Propose Parker (T6) was racing in A2 company two months ago, but appears to have totally lost his confidence since. Although Paul Young's contender is predicted to go off favourite in the tissue prices, backers may well decide to oppose the veteran on learning that he has tasted defeat in each of his last 12 races.
