Find Me A 100 Winner - Alex Cejka
Underrated German can do the business in the US
Having spent the weekend on the fringes of contention in Florida, Alex Cejka looks in ideal shape to contend once again at this week's PODS Championship. The German star, a multiple winner in Europe and class act on his day, ended up in seventh place just four shots behind the winner Ernie Els at Palm Beach.
As is usually the case when Cejka's name appears on a leaderboard, the key was relentless accuracy off the tee. He ranked eighth in driving accuracy last week, a repetition of which would stand him in very good stead on a course where driving accuracy is of prime importance.
While the Copperhead course has been a regular PGA Tour venue over the years, the altered Fedex Cup schedule from 2007 onwards has made it a slightly different challenge. Previously, tournaments were held here in October, but now playing in early spring the rough is denser and a much greater premium is placed on long-game accuracy. Cejka has twice before played in Copperhead events, finishing a respectable 20th on the second occasion in 2005. Under the different conditions, I would expect him to play a far more prominent role.

Good luck with your bet but I doubt that he will win. There is a poster on the BF golf forum who uses the name of cejka and he has been betting on this player for many years - he must have lost lots of money. I just don't think that Cejka will be good enough to win this but it won't be the first or last time that I have got it wrong if he does.
My 100/1+ tip is John Mallinger who played well last week and I think he is a winner waiting to happen but he'll probably do it when my money is not on him.
