Ace trainer Andre Fabre has hinted that his recent Group 1 winner Manduro could well bid to follow up in Royal Ascot's Prince of Wales's Stakes, rather than tackle the one mile Queen Anne Stakes.
Manduro was tremendously impressive in landing the Prix d'Isaphan having previously romped home at Newmarket.
Fabre told reporters: "Manduro will be my only runner at Royal Ascot, unless I make any last-minute supplements, and at the moment there is a slight preference for the Prince Of Wales's Stakes.
"He's also in the Queen Anne Stakes over a mile and I need to talk to his owner before finalising a target, but the longer race is my preference."
The Prince of Wales's Stakes, over 10 furlongs, is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the five-day fixture, with Dylan Thomas currently 3.55 favourite in Betfair's ante-post list.
Red Rocks is offered to back at 5.2, Mandesha is 5.6, Notnowcato is trading at 7.8 with Manduro available at 8.2 and it is 16 bar.
